Naarm/Melbourne-via-Belgium artist Romanie is embarking on a headline tour from August to November to celebrate the release of her acclaimed sophomore album, It's Not That Funny.

Coming in at #14 on the ARIA Albums Chart, It's Not That Funny was nominated for the Australian Music Prize and features the singles 'Uh Oh', 'When Will We Lose Hope?', 'I Won’t Yell' and 'Falling'.

Exploring themes of trauma and isolation, the record "moves between two contrasting sonic worlds: chaos vs. calm, anguish vs. optimism, to discover what it means to keep going when life feels overwhelming."

Romanie is doing something a little different for this tour, with the singer-songwriter collaborating with each support act the day before the show on a new song that will then be performed live the following night.

The artists supporting Romanie across the tour are Red Hill in Brisbane, Hassall in Geelong, Angie Colman in Perth, Bonniesongs in Sydney, Human Noise in Beechworth, Oscar The Wild in Adelaide, Clover Blue in Castlemaine and Chitra in Melbourne.

Romanie's It's Not That Funny tour kicks off with three shows in Brisbane at The Junk Bar on Sunday 30 August, The Brightside on Monday 31 August and Black Bear Lodge on Friday 4 September. Romanie then plays Geelong's Medusa Bar on Sunday 13 September, followed by shows at The Bird in Perth on Saturday 19 September, Sydney's KR Studio Hibernian House on Saturday 26 September, Canberra's Floriade on Sunday 27 September, Beechworth's Tanswell's Hotel on Saturday 3 October, the Grace Emily in Adelaide on Saturday 10 October and Casltemaine's Taproom on Sunday 25 October, bringing the tour to an end in Melbourne at Northcote Social Club on Friday 27 November.
