Grammy Award-winning guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela have released their new album, OurHome, out now via ATO Records.

Recorded and self-produced by Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero at NK Sound Tokyo, the album addresses the question of what home looks like, with the duo being drawn to Japan, a country they feel deeply connected to.

"We've always felt drawn to Japan because of the art and aesthetics and attention to beauty," says Quintero. "There’s also something about being there that invites you to look inward, to reconnect with who you really are and what gives you meaning."

OurHome is also the first Rodrigo y Gabriela album to feature a song with lyrics and vocals. Focus track 'Somos Como Tú' ('We Are Like You') explores migration, displacement, dignity and the shared humanity beneath the circumstances that separate one person’s life from another.

"I wrote that song when I was living in Paris in 2015 and always loved it, but for some reason we could never come up with a version that sounded like us," says Sánchez. "We decided to try again for this album, and it turned into something that felt very powerful and honest, and even more relevant than it was 10 years ago."

The record was mixed by five‑time Grammy winner Dave Sardy (The Who, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and mastered by Stephen Marcussen (Nirvana, R.E.M., The Rolling Stones) and includes collaborations with former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi, cellist Hiyori Okuda and guitarist/composer Yukihiro Atsumi.
