Country music festival Strummingbird was a massive hit last year, and 2026 is going to be even bigger after American hip hop, country and pop superstar Post Malone was announced as the headline act.
Taking over the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle and Ballarat, the festival sees Malone joined by a huge selection of country artists, including Bailey Zimmerman, Stella Lefty, Dexter & The Moonrocks, Cooper Alan, Brad Cox, Sons og the East, Max Jackson and more
The second edition of Strummingbird rolls through Ballarat on Saturday 10 October, Newcastle on Saturday 17 October and the Sunshine Coast on Sunday 18 October.
Organisers have assured fans that many of the things that made the inaugural Strummingbird a success will return, including the Silver Spur Saloon, where cold bevs and good times flow, rowdy line dancing and location-specific pop-ups.
Camping is also available at the Sunshine Coast and Ballarat editions, while buses from Melbourne to Ballarat have you covered.

A celebration of country music, both Australian and internationally, Strummingbird made a huge impact on the festival scene last year.
Featuring two stages headlined by four-time Grammy-nominated superstar Jelly Roll and American country singer Shaboozey, the lineup also included performances from Treaty Oak Revival, James Johnston, Kaylee Bell, Matt Hansen, Julia Cole, Wade Forster and more.
