Oasis’ Australian return marks the band’s first tour of the country in two decades. Since splitting up in 2009, both Noel and Liam have had success as solo artists, with Noel forming Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Liam releasing albums with Beady Eye and solo.
Before their untimely break-up Oasis ruled the charts across the globe. Their debut album, 1994’s Definitely Maybe, is the fastest-selling debut album in British history and spawned hit singles ‘Supersonic’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’.
Oasis followed up with arguably their most popular album, 1995’s (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. The record cemented Oasis as the biggest band in the world at that time and revolutionised the Britpop genre.
All seven of the band’s albums have topped the UK charts, with hit single ‘Wonderwall’ becoming a favourite of Aussie fans, coming in at number one in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 1995.
The band’s Australian tour is possibly your last chance to see Oasis live, depending on whether the Gallagher brothers can stay on friendly terms.
