Destroy All Lines has gone above and beyond with the lineup for this year’s rock festival Monolith.
Taking place in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in early November, the 2024 edition is headlined by New York prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria who have been tapped to perform their 2005 record, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through Madness, in its entirety.
Joining them on the bill are Washington D.C.’s Grammy-nominated metal act Periphery, who are performing in Australia for the first time since 2017, Norwegian progressive metal outfit Leprous, who will be showcasing tracks from their most recent release Melodies of Atonement, and Canadian instrumental group Intervals.
Also appearing are French metalcore behemoth Novelists, making their Australian debut at Monolith, and Australia’s own Silver Fang, who will get Melbourne and Brisbane crowds rowdy with their wild mix of goth, metalcore and electronica.

Along with all the music planned, Monolith also features several panels and demonstrations. Coheed & Cambria’s lead vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez is hosting a special Q&A panel ‘Celebrating 20 Years of the Amory Wars: The Past, Present and Future’. Sanchez will discuss the band’s series of graphic novels and comics while giving more background on the world Coheed and Cambria have created over their career.
Periphery, Keyan Houshmand, David Parkes and more will also host workshops for those attending the festival.
Taking to Instagram to share the news of their headline spot, Coheed and Cambria shared this message: “NEVERENDER INVADES MONOLITH AUSTRALIA! 🇦🇺Australia, we can’t wait to return for the first time in over eight years with a special NEVERENDER set: We’ll be performing Good Apollo, Vol I in its entirety at Monolith!”
