As the talk continues about who should play 007 in the new James Bond film, the upcoming video game adaptation, First Light, has revealed the game’s theme song, sung by the ethereal Lana Del Rey.
‘First Light’ is the official theme to IO Interactive's James Bond video game of the same name. Written with Bond composer David Arnold, whose credits include Casino Royale and Tomorrow Never Dies, ‘First Light’ is similar to early Bond themes, with Rey’s smokey vocals pairing beautifully with the brass instrumentation.
Taking to Instagram to announce the song, Rey posted the lyrics “Can’t say I’m surprised to see you running towards the sun…like a moth to a flame,” while also revealing she is excited for the new game, which is a Bond origin story.
