Kings of Leon Share New Single 'KOYSAR'

This is the third single taken from the band's tenth album, 'O My Beloved'.

'KOYSAR', an abbreviation for "Kick off Your Shoes and Run", is the third single taken from Kings of Leon's tenth studio album, O My Beloved, out Friday 6 November via Love Tap Records, distributed by Virgin Music.

Following previous singles 'My Whole World' and 'Cold Blue Dawn', this latest release is another nostalgia-driven single that leans into the classic Americana sound that seems to be everywhere these days.

The track draws on the band's childhood memories of messing about with each other, with frontman Caleb Followill having this to say about 'KOYSAR': "I was walking around the house and I kept singing 'kick off your shoes and run', and it started to take me back to when we were kids and we didn’t have a care in the world.

"I feel like these days all you hear about is how bad things are and how scared we should be for tomorrow, and I don't know about that. I believe if we hold close the things and the people that matter most, everything is going to be alright."

The music video plays into the song's family theme, featuring the four band members with their wives and children at a local state fair.

After more than two decades making music, KOL are taking inspiration from the past with an eye on the future with their tenth studio album, O My Beloved.

"We have already surpassed anything we ever imagined we could do, and we've built something that is so special. I thought, wouldn't it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here," says Caleb Followill.

"In the songs, there's our families, stories from our childhood, things that maybe didn't seem that significant at the time, but the way they find their way into these songs kind of lets me realise how impactful they really were in my life."
