Electronic duo Hermitude are back with a bang in 2026, announcing their eighth studio album, creatively titled EIGHT, and dropping a slew of tour dates.
The album, arriving on Friday 17 April, is inspired by a range of genres, including techno, breaks and UK garage, as well as ‘90s rave culture. EIGHT features a host of collaborations with acts including DEVAURA, Adrian Dzvuke, Bob Vylan and IsGwan and was mastered by Matt Colton (Tame Impala, Aphex Twin, Little Simz, James Blake).
“Joy feels vital right now, almost like an act of rebellion against your own sense of gloom,” the duo says. “The dancefloor has always been one of the few places where differences dissolve”.
Along with revealing their new album is on the way, Hermitude announced an Australian tour with support from IsGawn that kicks off at Newcastle’s Earp Distilling Co on Sunday 19 April. Dates follow at Cairns The Factory on Saturday 2 May, Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday 15 May, Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Saturday 16 May, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday 22 May, Hobart’s Odeon on Saturday 23 May and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday 29 May, with the tour wrapping up at Brisbane’s Tivoli on Saturday 30 May.

Hermitude is one of the most influential Aussie dance acts of the past two decades. The duo of multi-instrumentalists Luke Dubber and Angus Stuart first made their mark in 2003 with the release of their debut album, Alleys to Valleys.
They’ve released six more albums since, including 2012’s HyperParadise, which won the Australian Music Prize, and 2015’s Dark Night Sweet Night, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts and featured the hit single ‘The Buzz’.
Today’s announcement arrives on the heels of ‘90s club jam ‘Over You’, the third taste of EIGHT that follows the previously released singles ‘Royalty’, ‘For the Night’ and ‘Movement’.
