Genesis Owusu, Tame Impala & Ecca Vandal lead ARIA Awards 2026 Nominations
Baker Boy, BOY SODA, G Flip, Miss Kaninna and Ninajirachi are all up for awards at this year's ceremony.
Genesis Owusu and Tame Impala lead the 2026 ARIA Awards nominations, with both artists up for eight gongs at the 40th anniversary edition of the annual award show.
Held at The Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday 18 November, seven-time ARIA Award winner Genesis Owusu and Kevin Parker's psych-rock turned experimental electronic-pop outfit Tame Impala are competing for Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist, Best Alternative Release and more.
Also making her presence felt is Ecca Vandal, who returned earlier this year with her sophomore album LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW, and is up for a whopping seven awards.
Baker Boy, BOY SODA, G Flip, Miss Kaninna and Ninajirachi all scored five nods while DMA'S, Dom Dolla and Troye Sivan landed four nominations each.
This year also celebrates some of Australia's biggest artists, including Kylie Minogue, Paul Kelly, Keith Urban, Vika & Linda and Hilltop Hoods, and sees the return of the Best Alternative Release category for the first time since 2016, recognising singles and albums within one of Australia's most distinctive musical communities.
The public can also vote in four categories: Best Australian Live Act presented by Destination NSW, Song of the Year, Best Video and Most Popular International Artist via the Spotify app. Public voting runs from Thursday 24 September to Monday 9 November and is open across Spotify and the ARIA website.

The 40th ARIA Awards take place at The Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Wednesday 18 November in partnership with Spotify and will be screened live on Paramount+ and broadcast on 10. For more information, visit aria.com.au.
