After performing to sold-out crowds across Australia throughout February, rising singer-songwriter Fletcher Kent has shared new single ‘Don’t You Want It’.
An emotive ballad about sacrifice that showcases Kent’s vulnerable songwriting, ‘Don’t You Want It’ continues the creative’s hot run of singles, following ‘Are You Ready’, ‘Wasted’, ‘Blindspot’ and ‘Open To The Light’.
Speaking on the release, Fletcher shares: “Anything in life worth having comes with challenge, whether that’s relationships, a dream, anything. ‘Don’t You Want It’ begs the question: how much are you willing to sacrifice for the thing you want? You might get your heart broken, you might fall or face difficult moments, but is it worth it?”

It’s been a huge 12 months for Kent, who has really come into his own as a songwriter and performer. He moved to New York and spent time living with a bunch of fellow musicians, supported Lewis Capaldi on his Australian arena tour and performed to sold-out crowds on his own headline national tour.
In a recent chat The Note had with Kent, he opened up about how his time living overseas helped him gain a sense of clarity about his life and career. “More than anything, I want to be happy and good,” he said. “I know what that means for me, and the more I make choices in accordance with that, the better every aspect of my life is.” Read the full interview here.
