Fishbone Announce Australian Tour Celebrating 40 Years of 'In Your Face'

The Cali outfit are playing their seminal album in full at all shows.

Californian punk, ska and funk disruptors Fishbone return to Australia for the first time in 15 years to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their seminal debut album, In Your Face.

Performing the album in full alongside fan favourites, Fishbone touchdown for a whirlwind run of shows this September.

The band's long-awaited return coincides with the release of a special 40th anniversary reissue of In Your Face, which comes packaged with a second record, Cover Your Face, featuring reimagined Fishbone songs by artists including Patrick Stump, Wheatus and Silversun Pickups.

Fishbone's In Your Face 40th anniversary tour kicks off in Adelaide at The Gov on Monday 21 September, followed by shows at 170 Russell in Melbourne on Wednesday 23 September and Liberty Hall in Sydney on Thursday 24 September, before the band wraps things up in Brisbane on Friday 25 September at The Triffid.

Emerging from the Los Angeles punk scene, Fishbone quickly established themselves as an engaging live act, mixing high-energy performances with songs addressing political and social issues.

Along with In Your Face, Fishbone have released a further seven albums, with their most commercially successful being 1991's The Reality of My Surroundings, which features the huge hit 'Sunless Saturday'.

In recent years, the band's popularity has risen to another level thanks to tours with the likes of Madness, Tool and Primus, along with appearances at Less Than Jake’s Summer Circus Tour and the Long Beach and Washington, D.C. stops of Vans Warped Tour 2025.

Fishbone's upcoming Aussie jaunt is a chance for fans to get nostalgic while also appreciating Fishbone's new music with like-minded fans.
