First Trailer for Iron Maiden Documentary ‘Burning Ambition’ Is Here

 

The film hits Australian cinemas on Thursday 7 May.

The first trailer for heavy metal legends Iron Maiden’s feature documentary, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition, has finally dropped.

“If you’re an Iron Maiden fan, you’re part of one family,” exclaims Bruce Dickinson as the trailer opens with the band’s iconic single ‘The Shooter’.

Documenting the highs and lows of Maiden’s journey, the film is directed by Malcolm Venville (Churchill at War) and produced by Dominic Freeman (Spirits in the Forest – A Depeche Mode Film).

Burning Ambirion depicts Iron Maiden’s five-decade career and includes interviews with members of Iron Maiden, along with fans such as Tom Morello, Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Chuck D.

The official synopsis reads: “With unprecedented access to official band archives, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition charts five decades of one of the most iconic journeys in music history. Featuring interviews with the band and contributors such as Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D, this electrifying film offers an intimate look at their uncompromising vision and unwavering connection with their global army of fans.”

Founded in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden have established themselves as one of the biggest rock acts on the planet.

Since the release of Maiden’s self-titled debut album in 1980, the band have dropped 17 studio albums, 13 live albums and 47 singles, which have sold in excess of 100 million copies worldwide.

Regarded as a phenomenal live band, Iron Maiden have performed close to 2,500 shows across 64 countries, touring the world aboard Ed Force One, a Boeing 757 and then later a 747 piloted by singer Bruce Dickinson.

The band’s 50th anniversary celebrations include their two-year tour Run For Your Lives, upcoming documentary Burning Ambition and the first-ever official hardcover visual history book, Infinite Dreams, with the group also touring Australia in November.
