Having relocated to London, the Aussie duo’s new album is influenced by their adopted city’s dance music past.

Confidence Man has revealed their much anticipated third album 3AM (LA LA LA) is on the way later this year. The follow-up to 2022’s Tilt is a high-octane dance record dropping on October 18.
The announcement comes after the Aussie duo’s move to London last year. Settling into British life, Sugar Bones and Janet Planet have embraced the UK dance culture, which is reflected in Confidence Man’s latest single, ‘I CAN’T LOSE YOU’.
A euphoric slice of electronica, ‘I CAN’T LOSE YOU’ is a heady club tune accompanied by an explicit music video directed by Zac Dov Wiesel. The video features Bones and Planet riding in a helicopter butt-naked over London. You can check it out below.
Confidence Man has embraced 90s rave music while recording 3AM (LA LA LA). The album title is a reference to the iconic group KLF, whose elusive member Jimmy Cauty has been mentoring Confidence Man during recording sessions. These all-night periods in the studio have seen the band write songs on the fly and try to capture the magic in the moment.
“We pretty much wrote every single song when we were wrecked,” says Planet in a press release about the album. “We’d get blasted and stay up till 9am coming up with music, but we noticed that 3am was the hottest time for when we were on it and the best ideas were coming out.”
Written and recorded at Pony Studios in East London, the 12-track record includes a collaboration with English reggae singer Sweetie Irie. And while Confidence Man isn’t reinventing the wheel with their take on dance music, they are crafting their own niche that’s sure to thrill old fans and entice newcomers when 3AM (LA LA LA) drops this October.
