Celtic Thunder Announce 2027 Australian Tour

After a hugely successful run of shows earlier this year, Celtic Thunder have announced their Australian return, performing concerts across March and April 2027.

The Irish folk group will perform all their biggest songs as they take audiences on a journey through their extraordinary legacy. Expect stirring Irish classics and powerful ballads that have captivated audiences globally since the band first emerged almost two decades ago.

"We wanted to create something truly special for our fans, something that feels personal and celebratory," says Damian McGinty, longtime Celtic Thunder Principal.

"This show is about reconnecting - with the music, with each other, and with the people who have supported us throughout the years. It's a chance to relive the magic of Celtic Thunder in a more intimate way, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with our audience."

Celtic Thunder's 2027 tour gets underway in Canberra on Wednesday 17 March at Canberra Theatre Centre, followed by dates in Sydney, Newcastle, Penrith, Perth, Adelaide, Warrnambool, Ballarat, Frankston, Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane, finishing up on Tuesday 6 April at Kings Theatre in Caloundra.

Created by producer Sharon Browne, Celtic Thunder made their debut in Dublin in 2007, quickly gaining fans across the globe.

The vocal group have had a revolving lineup of singers across the journey, with the current group consisting of Neil Byrne, Emmet Cahill, Damian McGinty and Ronan Scolard.

Celtic Thunder have released over a dozen albums and tour the world regularly, gaining a massive following down under.
