Boom Crash Opera and MODELS are teaming up for an eight-date tour of Australia that gets underway this November.
The two bands originally planned to play a one-off show in Melbourne, but after fan demand, that’s now evolved into the ‘Double A Side Tour’. BCO and MODELS have announced they will play seven dates in addition to the Melbourne show between November of this year and May 2025.
The first show kicks off at the beloved Corner Hotel in Melbourne on Sunday, November 3, although anyone keen on that performance better get in quick as tickets are almost sold out.
The two bands then hit Selina’s Entertainment Centre in Coogee on Friday, November 8, which will be one of the last gigs at the iconic venue before it’s demolished and turned into apartments. BCO and MODELS have one final show locked in for 2024 at Eatons Hill in Brisbane on Saturday, November 16 before they take a few months off.
Returning in 2025, BCO and MODELS get back underway in Sydney at Paddington RSL on Friday, March 21 followed by a gig at The Triffid in Brisbane on Friday, March 28. A few weeks later the tour resumes again, this time in Thirroul at Anital’s Theatre on Friday, April 12 before both bands make the trip to Adelaide and perform at The Gov on Thursday, April 24. The final leg of the tour takes place in Perth at the Rosemount on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via Boom Crash Opera and MODELS’ websites.

Both Boom Crash Opera and the MODELS have had incredible careers that will be celebrated on this tour.
Forming in 1985, BCO has released six studio albums, had 13 songs make the ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart and toured relentlessly, having hit the road with the 1927 earlier this year and been given the honour of supporting Roxette on their upcoming 2025 Australian tour.
Expect to hear all their big hits, including ‘Great Wall’, ‘Hands Up In The Air’, ‘City Flat’, ‘Onion Skin’ ‘Get Out Of The House’, ‘The Best Thing’ and ‘Dancing In The Storm’.
MODELS arrived almost a decade earlier in 1978 and was known as an innovative band that did things their way. They had a ‘no singles’ policy that put them on the back foot with the release of their debut, Alphabravocharliedeltaechofoxtrotgolf.
A run-in with tastemaker Molly Meldrum convinced them to dump the policy, helping MODELS become one of Australia’s great 80s rock acts. They were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2010, causing vocalist Sean Kelly to reform MODELS and continue touring, something they’ve been doing for the past 14 years.
Just like BCO, MODELS have a stacked back catalogue and those who attend the ‘Double A Side Tour’ will hear all their top tunes, such as ‘I Hear Motion’, ‘Big On Love’, ‘Barbados’ and ‘Out Of Mind Out Of Sight’.
