The Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) are doing their bit to help upcoming talent in the Australian music industry with the announcement of the AIR Label and Distributor Member Mentoring program.
The new program is supported by Music Australia through Creative Australia and Sound NSW through the NSW Government and is open to AIR Label and Distributor Members.
AIR CEO, Maria Amato says: We look forward to delivering this program for our label and distributor members and to working collaboratively with industry professionals across Australia.”
Those interested will be given professional development and mentoring sessions on numerous important topics such as digital marketing, financial literacy and effective communication strategies.
Members who wish to participate will need to complete a self-assessment and choose the three areas they want to receive professional development training in. They’ll also need to explain how the mentoring sessions will help them achieve their business goals.
Applicants who fit the bill and are selected will be mentored by professionals in their areas of interest.
AIR Associate, Full and Distributor members can apply for the program here, with applications closing at midnight on November 8.
Successful applications will be notified of their selection by December 6, with workshops and personal mentoring sessions taking place between January and June 2025.
Just remember applications must be Australian-based and have a current AIR Associate, Full or Distributor membership. To check eligibility click here.
