ABC Announces 'The Lexicon Of Life' Australian Tour 2027

Martin Fry will perform tracks from 'The Lexicon Of Love' alongside all the band's biggest hits.

Remember the '80s classic 'The Look of Love'? Well, the man behind the massive hit, Martin Fry of ABC, is returning to Australia next year to perform tracks from the band's landmark debut album, The Lexicon of Love, alongside a set of greatest hits spanning ABC's four-decade career.

The tour marks ABC's first Australian visit in over a decade, with Fry and co set to play all of the band's biggest hits, including 'The Look of Love', 'Poison Arrow' and 'All of My Heart'.

Touching down in Perth on Tuesday 9 March for the first show of the tour at Astor Theatre, ABC then plays Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Thursday 11 March, followed by performances at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on Saturday 13 March and Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Sunday 14 March, then Hobart's Odeon Theatre on Tuesday 16 March, before bringing the tour to a close in Adelaide at The Gov on Thursday 18 March.

Earlybird pre-sale kicks off at 9am AEST Wednesday 5 August, followed by the general on-sale at 9am AEST Friday 7 August. Ticketing info is available via destroyalllines.com.

Founded in 1980 and fronted throughout the band's history by Martin Fry, ABC quickly rose to popularity with the release of their 1982 debut album, The Lexicon of Love.

Produced by Trevor Horn, the record shot straight to the top of the UK Albums Chart and delivered the enduring hits 'Tears Are Not Enough', 'Poison Arrow', 'The Look of Love' and 'All of My Heart'.

The Lexicon of Love was also a success in Australia, peaking at #9 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while 'Poison Arrow' was a Top 5 hit single and 'The Look of Love' reached number #7.

ABC have released a total of nine albums, with their most recent being 2016's The Lexicon of Love II, a sequel to the band's classic debut. Co-written with Academy Award-winning composer Anne Dudley and debuted at #5 on the UK Albums Chart.
