Tom Gleeson Announces New Australian Stand-Up Tour ‘Out of Touch’

Gold Logie-winning comedian and TV presenter Tom Gleeson is back with new stand-up show, Out of Touch.

Recognising he is completely out of touch with “his head up his arse,” Gleeson’s new show is an hour of comedy gold, with the host of Network Ten’s Taskmaster Australia encouraging people to heckle him on stage.

“I can’t wait to tour Australia with my brand new stand-up show,” Gleeson says. “Performing live is my natural state. If you think the banter on my TV shows is loose, wait until you see me live. I’m probably the only TV star in Australia who’s happy to stand on stage and cop abuse from the audience. Come along and heckle! You never know, you might get the better of me. (You won’t.)”

Gleeson’s massive tour takes in shows across the nation from October 2025 to September 2026. Performing in city centres and regional towns, Gleeson’s Out of Touch tour kicks off in Wangaratta on Saturday 25 October and includes seasons at Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2026, before coming to an end on Saturday 12 September in Warragul.

One of the country’s most savage comedians on the mic, Tom Gleeson has been a mainstay on the circuit for decades.

Getting his start as the flannel-wearing bogan “Malcolm”, Gleeson has established himself as a quick-witted comic who’s performed at some of the world’s biggest comedy festivals, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe and Montreal Comedy Festival.

Time Out called his last show “an hour of non-stop laughter” while The Age awarded the tour four out of five stars.

Along with his stand-up work, Gleeson has become a familiar face on the small screen, presenting the trivia show Hard Quiz and hosting the Australian version of Taskmaster.
