Dark Mofo Reveals 2026 Program

The Tassie festival returns in June with a stacked musical lineup.

Tasmania’s biggest festival, Dark Mofo, returns in 2026 with a stacked musical program incorporating a variety of genres and artists from both Australia and overseas.

“On land and sea, Dark Mofo 2026 will rage in cacophony and seek solace in silence,” says Artistic Director Chris Twite. “Boundary-pushing artists from all over the world will descend on Tasmania to nourish visitors hungry for challenge, discovery and distraction.”

Held across Hobart from Thursday 11 to Monday 22 June, the live music, art and culture festival features headline sets from American rapper Danny Brown, New York hip hop star Princess Nokia, electro pop act Purity Ring, Japanese psychedelic outfit Acid Mothers Temple, Manchester group WU LYF, composer Kelly Moran, thrash metal greats Power Trip and more.

On the local front, Ninajirachi, Folk Bitch Trio, Miss Kaninna and Baker Boy are just some of the acts performing. Check out the full lineup of artists below.

When it comes to Dark Mofo favourites, the Winter Feast, Nude Solstice Swim and Night Mass. are all returning, while Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) will play host to a wide range of experiences and events that make it a must-visit.

Artistic Director Chris Twite has said the arts program “confronts the things that keep us up at night — for better and for worse.”

Some of the highlights include SOLAS, featuring five dancers and five computers, coming together for an eye-opening event; the first-ever Australian performance of Regina José Galindo’s In Times of War (Darkness); Stasis, where a group of men use their teeth to hold aloft tables; and many more.
