Flight of the Conchords manager and all-time funnyman Rhys Darby is heading our way in 2025 with his new tour The Legend Returns.
Known for his oddball humour and love of physical comedy, Darby’s new stand-up routine finds him asking, “in a world full of AI and Robot tech can a simple dad with slightly tight jeans stay relevant?”
Taking to social media, Darby posted: “AUSTRALIA Let's go! Get your tickets now for my comeback show next year. I always have the best time touring Oz. Can't wait for this!”
The Legend Returns tour begins in Melbourne as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from Tuesday, April 8 to Tuesday, April 13 at Athenaeum Theatre. Darby then visits Adelaide’s Norwood Concert Hall on Thursday, April 15, Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Saturday, April 17, Canberra Theatre on Monday, April 19 and Newcastle City Hall on Thursday, April 22.
The final dates of the tour take place at Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre on Friday, April 23, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Saturday, April 24, Perth’s Regal Theatre on Tuesday, April 27 and Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday, April 30.

Rhys Darby has been performing stand-up since the mid-90s. Mixing slapstick comedy with hilarious stories, he won the 2012 Fred (Dagg) Award for best NZ show at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
Darby’s big break came when he was cast in Flight of the Conchords, playing the easily rattled manager of the band, Murray Hewitt. His appearance on the show led to Darby scoring acting roles in several Hollywood flicks, including the Jumanji franchise, along with a starring role in the pirate comedy, Our Flag Means Death.
In between stints on the screen, Darby has performed stand-up across the globe at some of the biggest comedy festivals and venues.
