Jimmy Rees has come a long way since his humble beginnings as Jimmy Giggle on the award-winning ABC Kids TV series Giggle & Hoot. After a decade presenting the show, Rees stepped out on his own in 2020 and hasn’t looked back.
After gaining a new set of fans after appearing on Dancing With The Stars, Rees came into his own during the pandemic when he started posting comedy content online. His Facebook videos quickly drew over 40 million views (now totalling over 180 million views), and his other social platforms boasted tens of millions of views, with people enamoured by his on-point social observations and sharp satire.
Some of his most famous viral videos include his Meanwhile In Australia series, the Brighton Ladies, the Guy Who Decides and Byron Baes, while his live comedy tours have continued to sell more tickets every year.
Awarded an Order of Australia medal for his services to comedy and his charity work in 2024, Rees is not only funny but also a good bloke, with tickets sure to sell fast to his latest tour.
