Jimmy Rees Announces In Reel Life Australian & New Zealand Tour 2025
Entertainer and funnyman Jimmy Rees has locked in nine shows, including his first in New Zealand.

Entertainer and all-round funny dude Jimmy Rees has just announced he’s embarking on a nine-date tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Performing his new show, In Reel Life, Rees’ tour comes after performing to over 100,000 audience members across his previous three outings, Meanwhile In Australia (2022), Not That Kinda Viral (2023), and Let’s Get Regional (2024).
“I’m psyched to be touring my brand-new live show In Reel Life around Australia and also heading to New Zealand for the very first time!” Jimmy Rees said in a statement.
The Australian leg of the tour kicks off in Tassie at Hobart’s Wrest Point Entertainment Centre on Saturday 25 October. Rees then performs at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Saturday 1 November, Brisbane’s The Fortitude Music Hall on Friday 7 November, Gold Coast’s The Star on Saturday 8 November, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Friday 21 November, Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Saturday 22 November, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Friday 28 November and Canberra’s Royal Theatre on Saturday 29 November, before heading to New Zealand for the first time for a gig at Auckland’s SkyCity Theatre on Friday December 5.

Jimmy Rees has come a long way since his humble beginnings as Jimmy Giggle on the award-winning ABC Kids TV series Giggle & Hoot. After a decade presenting the show, Rees stepped out on his own in 2020 and hasn’t looked back.
After gaining a new set of fans after appearing on Dancing With The Stars, Rees came into his own during the pandemic when he started posting comedy content online. His Facebook videos quickly drew over 40 million views (now totalling over 180 million views), and his other social platforms boasted tens of millions of views, with people enamoured by his on-point social observations and sharp satire.
Some of his most famous viral videos include his Meanwhile In Australia series, the Brighton Ladies, the Guy Who Decides and Byron Baes, while his live comedy tours have continued to sell more tickets every year.
Awarded an Order of Australia medal for his services to comedy and his charity work in 2024, Rees is not only funny but also a good bloke, with tickets sure to sell fast to his latest tour.
