Bec Charlwood Brings the Laughs with New Show ‘Middle Child’

Rising Aussie comic Bec Charlwood is touring the country with her new show Middle Class.
Having been handpicked to open for the likes of Alan Carr, Joanne McNally, Jay Pharaoh and Anna Akanna, Charlwood has quickly established herself in the world of comedy.
Known for her comical anecdotes and sizzling takes on the world, Charlwood’s new show arrives after the success of her 2023 debut special, Bipolar Baby.
Middle Class shapes as a hilarious new set of material all about life as the middle child from the engaging Charlwood.
Kicking her tour off at Comedy Republic in Melbourne on Saturday 20 September, Charlwood performs at Canberra’s Smith’s Alternative on Friday 26 September and Perth’s Oasis Comedy Club on Saturday 11 October before taking to the stage at Brisbane’s Caxton Hotel on Saturday 18 October as part of the Craxton Street Comedy Festival.
The final two dates of the Middle Class tour take place at Rhino Room in Adelaide on Saturday 25 October and the Comedy Store in Sydney on Saturday 1 November.

Debuting at Perth Fringe in 2020, Charlwood brought her first solo show, Dirty Girl, to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival in 2021.
Receiving plaudits from critics and comedy fans alike, Charlwood has gone on to work as a joke writer on Spicks & Specks, made an appearance as a panellist on the series Unpacked and hosted the podcast Dude Cinema, where she watches and reviews films with her best mate and fellow comedian, Alex Jae.
