Our favourite releases of the week.

Bjéar – ‘There’s A Lot To Forget’

A standout track taken from LA-based Aussie creative Bjéar’s latest album, I Love You Brae, ‘There’s A Lot To Forget’ is at the heart of the record, dealing with love, loss and human connection. This is a gorgeous modern folk number that builds towards a euphoric climax that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.

Sounds like: Saying goodbye.

Mass Wisteria – ‘Jodie’

Taken from Mass Wisteria’s recently released self-titled debut EP, ‘Jodie’ is one of those songs that’s hard not to tap your foot along to. Echoing early Jebediah, the groove is strong with this one, as Mass Wisteria continues to expand their sonic palate.

Sounds like: ‘90s Jebediah.

The Dainty Morsels –‘Michael’

This one starts in slow motion with a ‘70s-style guitar lick, accompanied by subtle percussion and a droning bass line, combining to welcome the soaring vocals of Emily Dodd. A throwback to a distant memory or another time, ‘Michael’ has a celestial, almost magical quality to it and deserves repeat listens.

Miss Orange Juicy – ‘Drip Drip (Slay!)’

New on the scene, Miss Orange Juicy’s third release is very much like a glass of the orange stuff – refreshing, tasty and pulp-free! A bright burst of indie pop celebrating inner confidence, ‘Drip Drip (Slay!)’ continues this Adelaide duo’s run of engaging singles.

Sounds like: Starburst.
