It’s estimated that over 100 million love songs are floating in the ether. Soppy ones, sad ones, happy ones – it’s crazy how such a common emotion always feels fresh when dressed up as a song. And it’s these fuzzy feelings that local five-piece Blue Lucy have bottled in ‘Belong To Love’.

Is it a diversion from its psych-rock roots that sends dancefloors into overdrive? Sure, but we think this catchy, Divinyls-adjacent track will stand proud amongst the band’s growing, genre-bending catalogue. When the chorus hits, you can envision a sea of punters throwing their arms around one another, swaying out of time and clinking beers while belting out the line, “Because we only long for love / So we keep holding on.”
