Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release New Live Album and Short Film

The album was recorded during the band's two shows at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2025.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have surprised fans today with the release of Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, a live album that's available digitally right now.

The 13-track album features reimagined versions of the band's biggest hits, deep cuts and covers recorded during Yeah Yeah Yeahs' two nights at London's Royal Albert Hall in June last year.

"Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall was born out of a need to commune with our band and fan family in 2025, after the election," the band shared in a statement posted online.

"In the past, YYYs haven't often chosen when to be back at it and out there, it often chooses us. It, being the times. We turn to live music when we need that specific quality of depth and light to see us through the times.

"The stakes were high, the Royal Albert Hall was the 3rd play of the tour, most of this record is live from the hall. It was our first time performing there and the hype leading up to it was overwhelming, but ladies and gentlemen, we believe the hype now we've done it."

The band also thanked the fans who attended the shows, along with David Lynch, posting: "His passing came a month before we began this journey and the performance begins with an ode to his legacy."

Accompanying the live album is a 22-minute black-and-white film called Hidden In Pieces. Directed by Barnaby Clay, the film was shot at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles during Yeah Yeah Yeahs' tour.
