WOMADELAIDE REVEAL 38 NEW ARTISTS JOINING 2024 LINEUP

Big news from the WOMADelaide camp this morning! A further 38 artists are joining the already huge line-up for March 2024, promising to further enhance the celebration of music, culture and art hosted at Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla. 
The fresh talent revealed today includes talent from all across the globe, including Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, San Diego-born groove outfit Thee Sacred Souls and genre-defying Tunisian artist, Emel Mathlouthi. Legendary ’70s funk band, Cymande, are also flying in from London, bringing their fusion of reggae, Afro-tinged percussion and psychedelic elements to WOMAD. English atmospheric trip-hop dup Morcheeba, Belgian-based electro pop two-piece Charlotte Adigery and Bolis Pupul, Réunion Island artists AURUS are further slated to make an appearance. 
Closer to home, ARIA award-winning Jen Cloher, Māori cultural performance group T’HONI kapa haka, an Arnhem Land rock outfit Wildfire Manwurrk.  
Highlight the festival’s commitment to nurturing emerging talents, the WOMADelaide x Northern Sound System (NSS) Academy will feature graduates Rob Edwards and Sofia Menguita, showcasing their soulful melodies and innovative sounds. 
Beyond music, festival-goers will be treated to captivating performances such as Cie L’lmmediat’s ‘La levitation réelle’ and Compagnie On Off’s ‘Le Chant de l’Eau’, among others, set against the majestic backdrop of Botanic Park. Celebrated aerial artists Gratte Ciel will also return to Botanic Park/Tanmuntilla, plus there’ll be performances from Canadian dance company CORPUS and Melbourne physical theatre ensemble, Born in a Taxi. 
“[WOMAD] is a thrilling and enriching journey of cultural discovery, and we invite audiences to join us to experience the best, the essential – and the surprising – in music, arts and dances from across the nation and around the globe over one glorious weekend,” says festival director, Ian Scobie.
