Troye Sivan Announces Fourth Studio Album, Shares New Single 'She's the Best'

Australian pop superstar Troye Sivan is back with new single 'She's the Best', the first track taken from his upcoming studio album, She's the Best, out Friday 9 October via EMI.

The Grammy-nominated artist's fourth longplayer arrives three years on from Something To Give Each Other and finds Sivan singing about desire, identity, joy, loneliness and queer belonging with remarkable emotional honesty.

Speaking about the album, Sivan says: "She’s the Best is a painting that captures my life in all of its moods and colours.  It explores the high-octane highs of the last few years, and the solitude and longing that sat underneath.  It’s chaotic, layered, organic, troubled and alive.  It feels like the truest and most creative version of myself I’ve ever shared.  At some point along the way I realised - the only constant in my life keeping me somewhat sane has not been the work, or the men, but the feminine. Thank god for them."

As for the title track, 'She's the Best' features spoken word verses and lyrics celebrating women – especially trans women – along with the drag queens, feminine-presenting people and the feminine spirit that has shaped his life, creativity and sense of self.

The track was written by Troye Sivan, Leland, George Daniel, Jack Antonoff and Styalz Fuego, produced by George Daniel, Jack Antonoff, Styalz Fuego and Sivan and is accompanied by a provocative emusic video directed by Gordon von Steiner, who collaborated with Sivan on 'One of Your Girls,' 'Got Me Started' and 'Rush'.
