The Rubens Announce National Tour, Share New Single ‘Love Me America’
The indie rockers drop their sixth album 'Group Therapy' in October.

The Rubens return this October with their sixth long player, Group Therapy, set for release Friday 16 October, and a national tour spanning regional centres and capital cities alike.
The band have also shared album opener 'Love Me America', a song inspired by The Rubens' time in the States when they were courted by major labels.
Singer Sam Margin explains further, “We naively ventured to New York to make our first record. It was terrifying, exciting, a blur and our introduction to a country that has fascinated us ever since. ‘Love Me America’ is a love song to America, but not a simple one. It’s about the scale of its promise, the thrill of chasing something big, and the strange desire to belong somewhere that can still feel just beyond your reach. A love song with all the baggage that comes along with it.”
Brother and keyboardist Elliott Margin agrees, adding, “It was wild. But it’s not all negative. To me it’s almost like a love story – you keep on coming back to the country, enamoured with the thrill of chasing that dream.”
Off the back of their forthcoming album, The Rubens are hitting the road alongside powerhouse alt-tockers SELVE (except for WA shows).
The Rubens kick things off in Sydney at City Recital Hall on Friday 16 October, followed by gigs in Adelaide, Mt Gambier, Coolum, Brisbane, D'Aguilar, Castlemaine, Melbourne, Barwon Heads, Hobart, Forth, Fremantle and Margaret River, wrapping the tour up in Wagga Wagga at Romano's on Saturday 12 December.

Since forming in 2011, The Rubens have gone from emerging rockers to global superstars, releasing five Top 5 ARIA charting albums, including their 2021 #1 record 0202, sharing the stage with everyone from Vince Staples and Bruce Springsteen to Pink and The Black Keys and earning two ARIA Awards.
Still comprised of the OG lineup featuring the Margin brothers, Zaac, Sam and Elliott, and long-term friends Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis, The Rubens' new record follows 2024's SODA and features the singles ‘Goanna’, ‘Are You Getting High’ and 'Love Me America'.
