The Dandy Warhols Announce 'Pin Ups' Australia & New Zealand Tour
The alt-rockers return to Australia in support of their latest album, 'Pin Ups'.

After they were announced as part of this year's Meredith Music Festival lineup, alt-rockers The Dandy Warhols have revealed a run of Australian and New Zealand headline shows.
Touring in support of their thirteenth studio album, Pin Ups, which dropped earlier this year, The Dandy Warhols open their tour with a special one-night-only collaboration alongside the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at Hobart's Odeon Theatre.
"The Oz tour is right around the corner and we are getting very pumped about it," says vocalist and guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor. "This one starts in Tasmania with the Symphony there; that will be a mind-expanding trip. Then we hit all our favourite cities, or most of them, including some New Zealand shows.
"Then we end at Meredith Festival, which we are told repeatedly is the coolest. There's going to be a lot of amazing music, food, wine and even wineries. We have always loved it down under, which is why it's been The Dandy Warhols' second home for almost three decades."
The Dandy Warhols begin their southern hemisphere tour alongside the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at Hobart's Odeon Theatre on Tuesday 24 November.
The quartet then visit New Zealand for concerts at Auckland's Powerstation on Friday 27 November and Wellington's Meow Nui on Saturday 28 November.
Heading back to Australia for December, The Dandy's play Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 1 December, Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Friday 4 December, Adelaide's Thebarton Theatre on Saturday 5 December, Fremantle's Metroplois on Tuesday 8 December, Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Thursday 10 December and finally Meredith Music Festival on Friday 11 December.
Spotify presale begins at 10am AEST on Friday 21 August (Code: DWAUS), followed by the Promoter presale at 10am AEST on Monday 24 August (Code: DW27). General sale takes place from 10am AEST on Tuesday 25 August. Ticketing information is available at sbmpresents.com.

The Dandy Warhols' latest album finds the band covering songs from artists who helped shape their sound, including tracks by The Beatles, The Byrds, The Clash, Gang Of Four, The Cult, The Damned and more.
Compiled from tribute albums, bonus tracks, B-sides and previously unreleased recordings spanning the band's career, Pin Ups is as much a celebration of lifelong musical influences as it is a love letter to the artists who inspired them.
As Courtney Taylor-Taylor explains, "Nearly every band we cover on here are friends of ours or artists we have had a meaningful experience with.”
The band's upcoming tour continues their long relationship with Australia that will see The Dandy's play tracks from Pin Ups alongside all the audience favourites from their long and enduring career.
Catch The Dandy Warhols performing at Thebarton Theatre on Saturday 5 December. Ticketing information is available at sbmpresents.com.
