Queensland festival Promiseland returns in 2024 with a bumper lineup sure to appeal to hip-hop and R&B fans. An incredible 79 artists will play the three-day event, with the lineup one of the best festival bills we’ve seen this year.

Taking place at Doug Jennings Park on the Gold Coast over the October long weekend (Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6), this year’s event is headlined by five huge international acts.

Nigerian rapper Rema, hip-hop producer Metro Boomin, Afro-beat star Asake, UK soul singer Jorja Smith and American R&B singer Miguel are the main drawcards.

The festival will also feature special guest appearances from Busta Rhymes, Omah Lay, Tiwa Savage, Shenseea, Beenie Man, Ruger and Shallipopi.

When it comes to local talent gracing the Promisland stages, the likes of Manu Crooks, Coterie, B Wise, Pania and Day1 will all be appearing at the festival. You can check out the full lineup opposite.

“With this lineup, we firmly believe Promiseland cements itself as a festival staple in Australia, we’re proud of what we’ve done in [2022] and [2023], and can’t wait to deliver a global festival standard to Australian fans this October long weekend,” Promiseland co-director Emal Naim said in a press statement.

There will be three ticket tiers available for fans: GA Pass, VIP Pass and Promise Terrace. The GA Pass allows entry to the festival, access to all rides, GA food vendors, bars and toilets.

Those wishing to get closer to the stage should choose the VIP Pass which allows access to the front of the stage in the festival VIP area, along with access to all rides, VIP bars with faster service and luxury toilets. This ticket tier also enables fast-track entry into the festival.

If you want to make a weekend of it and live your best life, get yourself a Terrace Pass. Not only does this give you access to all rides and both GA and VIP areas, but you can also view acts from the double-decker terrace with a balcony and do your business in luxury serviced toilets. You also get priority entry to the festival, can enter and re-enter as many times as you like, and receive an exclusive merch item along with complimentary spirits and coke. There’s also a phone charging area free of cost.
