Trailer for 'Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning' Released

Last year, Ozzy Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates reunited for one final show, which is now coming to the big screen across the globe in October.

The first emotional trailer for the concert film Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning opens with narration from Tom Morello, who says, "There's never been a precedent for a show like this. Millions of people around the world got to say, ‘Thank you, Black Sabbath. Thank you, Ozzy'."

The trailer captures the final-ever performance of Ozzy and Black Sabbath, held in the Prince of Darkness' hometown of Birmingham, England, at the iconic Villa Park Stadium on July 5 2025, just three weeks before Ozzy died at 76.

Ozzy and Sabbath were joined by a who's who of the rock world, with the likes of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and more performing.

The first trailer features video of Black Sabbath intercut with crowd shots, with the film including not only concert footage of Ozzy and Sabbath, but also many of the artists who performed on the day alongside personal reflections from Ozzy and co and behind-the-scenes footage.

Coming together for the first time in two decades, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward performed in front of more than 45,000 fans at Villa Park for Back to the Beginning.

Dozens of bands and artists performed, with Guns N' Roses and Metallica rounding out the support acts. The final sets of the night featured Ozzy Osbourne, who performed a set of solo songs, followed by Ozzy and his Black Sabbath bandmates rocking the stage with a selection of Sabbath hits, ending the night with their breakthrough 1970 hit, 'Paranoid'.

Streamed worldwide via pay-per-view, a staggering £140 million was raised, with the proceeds donated to Acorns Children's Hospice, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Cure Parkinson's.
