effie isobel Announces Debut EP, Shares New Single ‘Hidden Treasure’

The Adelaide artist has also revealed a run of East Coast shows

Emerging Kaurna Land/Adelaide-based dream-pop artist effie isobel has announced the relerase of her debut EP, Libra Rising, out Friday 11 September. The singer-songwriter has also shared new single 'Hidden Treasure' and revealed a run of headline tour dates.

'Hidden Treasure' merges shimmering synths, driving guitars and isobel's captivating vocals on a song exploring major life changes. While it didn't make much sense when isobel first wrote the song, looking back, isobel understands the lyrics explore being in her first committed queer relationship and deciding to pursue music full-time.

effie isobel shares, “This song was written before I knew what it was actually about. It came to be in the middle of a transformative period of my life, where things felt really strange and uncertain. To me, it encapsulates the period between manifesting transformation in your life and it coming to be; the liminal space where you’re not where you used to be, but you haven’t quite reached your next destination."

Recorded at Pretty Good Studio on Kaurna Land and produced by effie isobel, Benny Tamblin and Mario Späte (Ziggy Ramo, Electric Fields, Montaigne), Libra Rising features her 2025 singles 'Higher Ground' and 'Moon Made' and two unreleased singles ‘Honey Drunk’ and fan favourite ‘Slow Motion’.

To celebrate the release of Libra Rising, isobel has announced a three-date headline tour kicking off on Friday 11 September at The Burdekin on Gadigal Land/Sydney. isobel then performs at The Grace Darling on Saturday 12 September in Naarm/Melbourne before wrapping things up with a hometown show at Nexus Arts on Saturday 19 September.

Fan pre-sale starts at 10:30am AEST on Tuesday 21 July and general on sale starts 10:30am AEST Wednesday 22 July via effieisobel.com.

Found as a passion project of a young Libra woman in 2023, effie isobel has quickly become a fan favourite with audiences in South Australia.

Taking inspiration from artists such as beabadoobee, Slow Pulp, Snail Mail and Mazzy Star, and songs from the movie soundtracks I Saw The TV Glow and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, isobel invites music lovers to experience her magical dream-pop world with Libra Rising.
