Death Angel Announce 2027 Australian Tour

San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal masters Death Angel return to Australia in 2027 for the first time in over a decade.

But this is no ordinary visit, with the band treating fans to a performance of their iconic third album, Act III, playing the record in full, alongside a blistering set of classic Death Angel tracks.

Co-produced by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth) and Tom Zutaut, Act III introduced new elements to Death Angel's sound, and despite failing to crack the US market, is considered by many as an early '90s thrash classic.

Death Angel gets things started in Adelaide as part of next year's Froth & Fury Festival lineup on Saturday 30 January, followed by headline shows at Perth's Magnet House on Sunday 31 January, Melbourne's Max Watts on Wednesday 3 February and Sydney's Manning Bar on Thursday 4 February, wrapping the tour at Crowbar in Brisbane on Friday 5 February.

Tickets go on sale at 11pm AEST on Tuesday 20 October at hardlinemedia.com.

Part of the second wave of thrash metal acts to come out of the '80s, Death Angel released three albums before calling it quits in 1991.

Officially returning in 2001 for a one-off benefit show, Death Angel received encouraging support from fans and decided to reform, going on to release a further six albums and regularly tour North America and Europe.

The current lineup includes original guitarist Rob Cavestany alongside vocalist Mark Osegueda, rhythm guitarist Ted Aguilar, bassist Damien Sisson and drummer Will Carroll, with fans in for a treat when they hit Australia in January.
