CELEBRATE AUSMUSIC T-SHIRT DAY & GOOD MUSIC MONTH WRAP PARTY

It’s every music fan’s favourite day of the year! Today, November 30, marks Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, an annual celebration and fundraiser for our homegrown music industry. The initiative, launched by Support Act, helps raise money urgently-needed to aid music workers in crisis.
The idea is simple: wear an Aussie music t-shirt and support the cause by donating here.
November 30 also marks the end of Good Music Month – the inaugural state-wide, open-access MusicSA program that unfolded across South Australia this month, designed to celebrate and connect SA-based artists through festivals, street activations and gigs. It was a huge success, and today, MusicSA is inviting you to bid farewell to the fun and support Ausmusic T-Shirt Day in a closing street party and fundraiser!
From 2pm, 28 local artists and music businesses are taking to Vaughan Place and Cinema Place to sell their merch, with 10 percent of all proceeds donated to Support Act. Big Easy Radio, Blind Coyote, Indiago, Oscar The Wild, LOLA, Sons of Zöku, Three D Radio and Tonix are just some of the people who’ll be popping up in the CBD.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without some live and local performances. From 2pm to 6pm, artists like Ebony Emili, Bianca Hendy, Codra Negra, Mark Curtis and Chloe Sea are gigging at the street event.
When the fun wraps at 7pm, move to cosy gin bar The Howling Owl for the afterparty. Enjoy some signature Good Music Month drink specials, poured by The Howling Owl and Imperial Measures Distillery, and groove to acts like JAWGEE, My Chérie and Mum Thinks Blue.
In the last financial year alone, donations to Support Act have helped more than 930 industry individuals to the tune of $2.3million and provided more than 1500 hours of free phone counselling through the initiative’s Wellbeing Hotline. Through Ausmusic T-Shirt Day alone, more than $290,000 has been raised. Purchase a tee from your favourite South Aussie acts today at the MusicSA closing party or head online to grab one of the official Ausmusic T-Shirt items from artists like Kylie Minogue, Paul Kelly, G Flip, Nick Cave and more.
