Bess Atwell Announces 'Cut A Figure' 2027 Australian Tour

Brighton-based singer-songwriter Bess Atwell returns to Australia in 2027, locking in a run of headline shows across March.

The announcement arrives just weeks after Atwell released her new single 'The Act', a song written about her time living in Quebec and her first release in two years.

Known for her indie folk musings, Atwell has sold out shows across the UK, Europe, Australia and Canada and was last in Australia in 2025, performing at WOMADelaide where The Note saw her live and called Atwell "a true talent".

Atwell's Cut A Figure tour begins in Sydney on Wednesday 24 March at Oxford Art Factory, followed by shows at Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Thursday 25 March and Brisbane's Brightside on Saturday 27 March, with a final gig in Adelaide at Jive on Tuesday 30 March.

Pre-sale kicks off at 9am AEDT on Friday 16 October, with the general sale at 9am AEDT on Monday 20 October. Full ticketing and tour information is available at destroyalllines.com.

Releasing her debut album Hold Your Mind in 2019, it was 2021's Already, Always that helped Bess Atwell break out with her intimate storytelling.

The UK singer-songwriter followed up in 2024 with Light Sleeper, which was produced by Aaron Dessner of The National and released on fellow singer-songwriter Lucy Rose's Real Kind Records.

The record was a big success, with The Guardian writing that the album "manages to combine the hazy languor endemic to the Lana Del Rey era with the left-field precision of Julia Jacklin, creating a body of songs that transcends sad-girl truisms."

Having spent the past couple of years touring the world, Atwell is looking forward to returning down under for a run of shows in 2027.

Catch Bess Atwell at Jive on Tuesday 30 March. Ticketing information is available at destroyalllines.com.
