You’re back at the Grace Emily this month! What should we expect from this gig?

There’s going to be heaps of activities! Things like palm reading, acrobatics and Bikram yoga will be included with every ticket sold.

You’ve invited King Jeff & The How Are Yous and The Dainty Morsels to open the show. What will these bands add to the vibe of the evening?

King Jeff are a frenetic ball of energy when they perform and they’ll probably struggle to fit everyone on the Grace stage, which we can’t wait to see. We’ve played on the same bill as The Dainty Morsels a couple of times and each show we see of theirs is better than the last. They blend all our favourite types of music together.

What keeps drawing you back to playing at the Grace Emily?

As far as pubs go in Adelaide, it’s hard to beat the Grace Emily. The sound on that stage is always killer and Symon and the bar staff always look after the punters and performers. It’s a no-brainer to play there again.

It’s been a year since you released your debut album, Low Noise High Output. What did you learn from that experience that you’re applying to new music?

If the take feels good, keep it. Don’t worry about mistakes. We’ve got a new album recorded and ready to be mixed that should be out by the time the magpies start swooping. We’ll try and play most of [the new tunes] at the Grace. It’ll be great to test them out!
