If you could only pick one, what would it be?

Geez, it’s hard enough picking five tracks, but I’ll go with Phoenix – ‘If I Ever Feel Better’. I’ve loved this band for a long time and it’s my favourite song of theirs. Thomas Mars has an amazing ability to write meaningful lyrics and this track always makes me feel good when I hear it.

What’s your favourite album?

Massive Attack – Mezzanine. The album flows start to finish, it’s brooding and powerful and gives me lots of energy whenever I listen to it.

What’s your favourite song by a South Australian band or artist?

‘Everyone Knows’ by Messrs.

Favourite music related memory?

There’s been a lot! One of my favourite memories was when we promoted the Foals show at The Gov. It was their first Australian show and they absolutely killed their set. We had them doing a DJ set post-show at a club night we ran at the Ed Castle. While they were waiting to DJ, we all hung out upstairs drinking and partying on the balcony with a small group of friends. Yannis Philippakis had hit it off with one of my friends and was asking me a bunch of questions about her – it was one of those ‘is this real life right now?!’ moments. Great band, great people, good times.
