Urzila Carlson Announces 2025 Australian Tour

The comedian is heading to Adelaide next July for a show at the AEC Theatre.

South African-New Zealand comedian Urzila Carlson is embarking on her biggest tour yet when she hits Australia next year.

The multi-award winner is bringing her new show You Don’t Say to Australian stages throughout 2025, including performances as part of next year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Discussing her upcoming tour dates, Urzila says: “You Don't Say is a show born out of sarcasm and storytelling from the mind of a woman who might be slightly out of her mind! I cannot wait to tour this show and bring it to your ears!”

Carlson’s first stand-up show takes place at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Tuesday, April 1 and is followed by performances at Bunjil Palace in Narre Warren on Wednesday, April 2 and Frankston Arts Centre in Frankston on Thursday, April 3. Carlson then returns to Melbourne’s Palais Theatre for two shows on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 before hitting Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Saturday, July 26, Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, August 2, Toowoomba’s Empire Theatre on Friday, August 8 and Newcastle’s Entertainment Centre on Friday, August 15. The final three dates of the tour take place at Sydney’s ICC Theatre on Saturday, August 16, Canberra’s Llewellyn Hall on Saturday, August 23 and Perth’s HBF Stadium on Saturday, August 30.

2024 has been a big year for Urzila Carlson, with the comic lending her voice to the animated flick Ozi alongside Donald Sutherland, Laura Dern, Ru Paul, and Amandla Stenberg. She was also cast in the rom-com Kinda Pregnant which stars Amy Schumer, Alex Moffat, Damon Wayans Junior and Will Forte. The film is scheduled for release in 2025.

This year also saw Carlson perform her first-ever show in America at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, with the comedian set to return in 2025 for her first national tour of the States followed by shows in the UK.
