The University of Adelaide Theatre Guild’s latest performance is a production of Samuel D. Hunter’s acclaimed play, The Whale.
Telling the story of a 600-pound obese English teacher who is desperate to reconnect with his long-estranged daughter, the play has been described as “big-hearted and fiercely funny.”
Directed by Geoff Brittain and starring local talent, The Whale is the story of one man’s last shot at redemption.
The Whale gained global attention in 2022 when Darren Aronofsky’s film adaptation won Brendan Fraser an Academy Award for Best Actor.
The production will run from Friday 7 November, until Sunday 16 November, with both matinee and evening shows at The Cloisters at Adelaide University.
Tickets are $28 or $23 for concessions and are on sale now via trybooking.com.
