SLEEVE NOTES

‘The Things I Love In You’ by Cold Chisel: Fourteen years after calling it quits, Cold Chisel reunited and released their highly- anticipated sixth album, The Last Wave of Summer. Topping the ARIA Charts, the record was preceded by the ARIA top ten single, ‘The Things I Love In You’ – a quintessential blues-infused Chisel rocker and a welcome return from one of Australia’s most beloved bands. Despite the depressing subject matter (the track revolves around a man thinking about murdering his girlfriend and her lover…), it’s arguably one of the outfit’s best modern releases.

THEY’RE PERFECTLY PAIRED BECAUSE...

Vale Brewing and Cold Chisel are South Aussie icons in their respective fields, having brought much joy to punters over the years. And both track and brew also do what it says on the tin: Vale Crisp Lager is a refreshing drop that’s easy to down and free of the pretentiousness often surrounding craft beer; ‘The Things I Love In You’ is classic Chisel, with the band firing on all cylinders to deliver a barnstorming dose of pub rock. And just like Barnesy’s iconic scream, there’s something familiar and comforting about necking this cold can of Vale Crisp Lager.
