By The Note

Tumblers and turntables at the ready…

TASTING NOTES
23rd Street Pomegranate & Raspberry Vodka: The ultimate fresh festival drink. Created by South Australia’s own 23rd Street Distillery, this premix treats drinkers to bursts of sweet, earthy local fruity flavours. Crafted with their award-winning premium vodka and pomegranate, grown in 23rd Street’s orchard, it captures the vibrant taste of South Australian life. Tart pomegranate flavours and sweet raspberries combine to create a fruity depth that avoids the all-too-common sugar overload, instead delivering a balanced bubbly fruity medley. Even if summer feels far away, this 5% ABV spritz transports us back to warmer days.
SLEEVE NOTES
Wet Leg’s ‘Wet Dream’: The 2021 viral hit from their debut album is a playful indie rock track. Tongue-in-cheek lyrics poke fun of lead singer Rhian Teasdale’s ex and his persistent sleazy “I dreamt about you last night” text messages. A pulsating kick drum carries through the track, setting a tight foot stomping groove, complemented with melodic upbeat guitars and deadpan indie punk vocals. The two-piece from the Isle of Wight create serotonin in a bottle with this single, sprinkled with sarcasm, blended harmonies, and a hooky chorus. ‘Wet dream’ was born to be played to a festival crowd.
THEY’RE PERFECTLY PAIRED BECAUSE...
Both 23rd Street’s Pomegranate & Raspberry Vodka and Wet Leg’s ‘Wet Dream’ thrive on contrast. The premix balances tart pomegranate with sweet raspberry, just as ‘Wet Dream’ layers bold, cheeky lyrics on upbeat indie riffs. It’s the balance of bite and sweetness, sass and melody, that makes both irresistible. Together, they create a fruity, bubbly, groove-fuelled high that feels like summer in a can and a chorus you can’t stop singing. Even visually, they match – 23rd Street’s label mirrors the same reds, greens and beiges found in Wet Leg’s video. And if you believe the rumours about pomegranates being an aphrodisiac, well… we’ll leave that between you, the vodka, and the song
Never miss a beat
