Enjoy Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Penelopiad’ at Little Theatre This May

The next theatrical performance at Little Theatre is an adaptation of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

Theatre lovers are in for a treat this month when the University of Adelaide Theatre Guild presents Margaret Atwood’s The Penelopiad.

An adaptation of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, told from the perspective of Odysseus' wife Penelope, The Penelopiad is an engaging and emotional story told by Penelope from the afterlife.

Directed by Kristin Telfer with original music by Kristin Stefanoff, this production features a fantastic cast of performers, including Heather Crawford, Miriam Cwiek, Emily Dalziel, Lucy Hay, Macey Lawson, Mia Livingston-Pearce, Sophie Livingston-Pearce, Annie Matsouliadis, Bonnie McAllister, Jessica Merrick, Theo Papazis, Olivia Jane Parker, Frederick Pincombe, Carmen Sinclair and Jane Ford as Penelope.

The Penelopiad takes over Little Theatre from Friday, May 23, to Sunday, June 1, with a total of eight performances. Anyone keen to learn more about the production and those involved are urged to grab a ticket to the Wednesday, May 28 performance, as there will be a Q&A with several of those involved in the play after the performance.
