Hannah Ferguson to Address the State Of The Nation in New Live event

Hannah Ferguson returns to Australian stages in 2026 to tell us what the hell is going on — and what we can do about it.
Australia's sharpest political observer returns this October – and she has a lot to say!
Hannah Ferguson, founder of Cheek Media, is one of the country's most influential political voices. Like the rest of us, she’s trying to make sense of the world and is excited to share her thoughts with audiences with her new show, Cheek Live: State of the Nation.
“This show is about matching belly laughs to commentary,” says Ferguson. “As always - nothing is off limits. I want the Cheek Live audience to always leave surprised and to feel comfortable adding their two cents. This is a tour that puts dialogue with the audience at the forefront.”
Tackling the big issues one laugh at a time, Ferguson will address everything from free speech and untaxed gas exports to One Nation and new political mastermind Dave Hughes.
“This tour is going to blend political observations and stand-up comedy more than I’ve ever attempted before,” adds Ferguson. “Announcing a show called State of the Nation in a pair of knee-high boots is important to me: everyone needs a night of fun in the absolute nightmare timeline we find ourselves in. Every year I want to deliver a bigger, funnier and more thoughtful show experience for people to feel connected, and to challenge their views - but mostly to have a heap of fun with an audience that feels like a big group of mates.”
Ferguson’s Cheek Live: State of the Nation tour kicks off in the nation’s capital at the Canberra Theatre on Thursday 1 October. Ferguson then hits Sydney’s State Theatre on Friday 2 October, Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday 3 October, Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall on Sunday 4 October, Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Thursday 8 October and Newcastle’s City Hall on Wednesday 14 October, wrapping things up in Perth at the Astor Theatre on Wednesday 28 October.
Pre-sale commences at 9am AEST on Wednesday 8 July, followed by general on-sale at 12pm AEST on Friday 10 July. Ticketing information is available at fane.com.au.

One of the leading political voices in Australia, Ferguson has become a major player in the local media landscape since founding Cheek Media in 2020.
Transforming herself from a content creator into a serious political and social commentator, she delivered a rousing speech at the National Press Club in 2025 that reaffirmed her position as one of the country’s most important political voices.
Along with beginning Cheek Media, Ferguson has been named as part of Forbes 30 Under 30 list, published two bestselling books - Bite Back (2023) and Taboo (2024) - and co-hosted the chart-topping news and pop culture podcast Big Small Talk.
Catch Hannah Ferguson performing at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday 3 October. Ticketing information is available at fane.com.au.
