Dolly Parton Approved Musical, ‘Here You Come Again’, Heading To Adelaide

Enjoy all of Dolly Parton’s biggest hits when this acclaimed musical comedy arrives at Her Majesty’s Theatre later this year.

It’s time to lace up your cowboy boots, grab your rhinestone vest and celebrate all things Dolly Parton when musical comedy Here You Come Again hits Her Majesty’s Theatre this December.

Officially produced with the approval of Dolly Parton, the musical features all of the country star’s biggest hits, including ‘Jolene’, ‘9 to 5’, ‘Islands in the Stream’ and ‘I Will Always Love You’.

Here You Come Again arrives in Australia after a sold-out season in the US and UK, with the musical following a diehard Dolly fan who is guided by a fantasy version of the Queen of Nashville through life’s toughest moments.

The upcoming Australian season of Here You Come Again begins in Melbourne at Comedy Theatre on July 12 and runs until November 2. The show will also play at Perth’s Regal Theatre from August 22 – August 31, Sydney’s Theatre Royal from September 12 - September 28, Newcastle’s Civic Theatre from November 20 - November 23 and Canberra’s Canberra Theatre from November 27 - November 30, before wrapping up with shows at Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre from December 6 - December 14.

Presented by Simon Friend Entertainment and Kay & McLean Productions, Here You Come Again was created by Bruce Vilanch, Gabriel Barre and Tricia Paoluccio.

Along with being a co-creator, Paoluccio takes on the role of Dolly with support from an all-star cast, including Dash Kruck (Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar). The actors are joined by a live band featuring Andrew Worboys (Music Director/keys), Tina Harris (bass), Luke Herbert (drums) and Ash Murdica (guitar).

Speaking on her excitement about playing Dolly, Paoluccio said, “I've loved Dolly my whole life and have been singing her songs since I was a little girl. It’s been my dream to create a musical comedy that celebrates her music while imagining how she might help someone in a real-life way. Having Dolly’s personal stamp of approval on this piece makes it even more special, and I can’t wait to bring this production to Australia!”
