Comedian Jiaoying Summers Announces Australian & New Zealand Tour 2026

Fans can catch her live at Norwood Concert Hall this September.

Establishing herself as one of the most popular voices in modern comedy, Chinese-born, Texas-based stand-up Jiaoying Summers returns to Australia and New Zealand this September for a run of shows.

Fresh off her sold-out international What’s Species Are You? tour, which spanned North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, Summers continues to captivate audiences with her bold, authentic voice.

Her comedy explores cultural clashes, immigrant identity, marriage and motherhood, with her down to earth appraoch resonating with audiences worldwide.

Summers' Lucky Pony tour begins in New Zealand at SkyCity Theatre on Friday 25 September. The tour then heads to Australia for four shows at Melbourne's Recital Centre on Sunday 27 September, Brisbane's The Tivoli on Tuesday 29 September, Sydney's Opera House on Thursday 1 October and Adelaide's Norwood Concert Hall on Friday 2 October.

With over 2 billion views across social media and more than 5 million followers, Summers made history in 2023 as the first Chinese comedian to headline New York City's iconic Apollo Theatre and was also inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame.

Last year saw the release of Summers' debut stand-up special, What’s Species Are You?, which The Los Angeles Times named one of the Best Comedy Specials of 2025, while her podcast Tiger Mommy has become an international smash hit.

Whether on stage, online, behind the mic, raising three children or running her comedy club, Summers is out there getting it done, with her upcoming tour sure to sell out.
