Experience a taste of Brazilian street festivals at Glenelg next month.
Pop-up Brazilian street party Carnival Parade Bloco do Segura Rápido returns for its third year next month.
Held in Glenelg on Saturday 7 February, this incredible event brings the feel-good vibes of Brazilian Carnival to Glenelg’s picturesque Esplanade.
A celebration of music, colour and pure joy, Bloco do Segura Rápido features a musical ensemble made up entirely of brass and percussion instruments. A core group of 15 musicians will lead the parade from Mosely Square all the way to The Pier Hotel, the site of the afterparty featuring Brazil Nuts Orchestra.
Punters are encouraged to dress up in colourful clothing and dance the night away after the parade ends at The Pier Hotel. Check out all the details for this free and family-friendly event below.
