Crushes

Bringing the classic combo of fresh strawberries and oozy melted milk chocolate back into the limelight, Crushes are redefining the dessert game. The pop-up stall takes over Rundle Mall regularly on weekends, serving up simple joy in a cup. Their offerings cover dark chocolate, white chocolate, whipped cream and their ultra viral Dubai choc cups with real pistachio. Look for the bright red sign telling you to message your crush, and you’ll know you’ve found the spot.

Muratti Cakes & Gateaux is Adelaide’s little slice of decadence. From bite-sized fruity custard tarts to glossy eclairs and impossibly delicate cakes, every creation feels like it belongs behind glass in Paris. It’s the kind of place where celebrations start, or excuses to indulge are easily found. Whether you’re ducking in for a soft, dreamy almond croissant or taking home a show-stopping Chocolate Concorde cake, Muratti makes dessert feel like an art form.

St. Louis is the home of classic European desserts and the sweet tooth. The classy dessert joint is taking over Adelaide, with new spots popping up all around the place, including Norwood, Gouger Street, Hyde Park, Mawson Lakes, Elizabeth, Glenelg, and Prospect. Think silky in-house made gelato, decadent crepes, fluffy yet crispy churros, acai bowls, affogato – made four ways, and a partridge in a pear tree. It’s indulgence done with flair, whether you’re grabbing a late-night scoop, settling in for a sugar-fuelled catch-up, or chasing that perfect hit of chocolate.

FroYoh is Adelaide’s new baby pink frozen yoghurt playground. Created by the owners of St George’s Bakehouse, this store brings a local twist to the viral frozen yoghurt game. The dessert bar offers self-serve swirls of tangy, velvety froyo, like their pistachio and chocolate swirl, and a myriad of topping options. Load up on fresh fruit, crushed cookies, Dubai chocolate topping, sour straps and gooey sauces. It’s light enough to feel guilt-free but indulgent enough to hit that late-night craving.
