Fire up your lightsaber and prepare for an electrifying night of space battles when Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert hits Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, August 9.
Not only is George Lucas’ iconic space epic being shown on the big screen, but the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will be in attendance, performing John Williams’ Oscar-winning score live!
Strap yourself in for a thrilling night of sci-fi when Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo take on the might of the Empire in this space adventure classic.
Acclaimed conductor Nicholas Buc will lead the orchestra as they perform all the musical numbers from the 1977 hit, including ‘Ben’s Death and TIE Fighter Attack’, ‘Cantina Band’ and the iconic ‘Main Title’.

If you’ve somehow never seen this incredible film, the story follows young lad Luke Skywalker, the nephew of moisture farmers, who finds himself caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance when he meets the recluse Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Joining Kenobi on a daring mission to save the Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Darth Vader, with help from smuggler Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca, Skywalker soon finds himself part of the Rebel Alliance as they attempt to destroy the Death Star, a weapon of immense power that can destroy planets.
While many in the film industry feared Star Wars: A New Hope would tank, it was a blockbuster hit, spawning a media empire comprising more than ten feature films, countless TV series, books, comics, video games and more.
