Star Wars: A New Hope, the fourth film in George Lucas’ space western, is one of the greatest sci-fi flicks of all time.
If you’ve somehow never seen this incredible film, the story follows young lad Luke Skywalker, the nephew of moisture farmers, who finds himself caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance when he meets the recluse Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Joining Kenobi on a daring mission to save the Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Darth Vader, with help from smuggler Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca, Skywalker soon finds himself part of the Rebel Alliance as they attempt to destroy the Death Star, a weapon of immense power that can destroy planets.
While many in the film industry feared Star Wars: A New Hope would tank, it was a blockbuster hit, spawning a media empire comprising more than ten feature films, countless TV series, books, comics, video games and more.
