Adelaide’s first-ever Brazilian festival takes over the CBD this November.

Get ready to samba on the dancefloor while sipping on a Caipirinha when Adelaide’s first-ever Brazilian-themed festival, ALMA BRAZIL!, hits the city this November.
The brainchild of internationally acclaimed choreographer Talita Fontainha from TQ Productions, ALMA BRAZIL! is a four-day celebration of Brazilian culture running from Thursday, 20 November to Sunday 23 November.
Discover Brazilian culture through the four pillars of music, dance, food, and of course, football, with immersive installations and pop-up events held across the city.
“Brazilian culture is about joy, connection, and rhythm,” says Fontainha, Artistic Director of ALMA BRAZIL! “This festival is about sharing that energy, bringing the heartbeat of Brazil to South Australia. Whether you come for the dancing, the food, or just to feel the vibe, ALMA BRAZIL! will welcome you with open arms. ‘Alma’ means soul in Portuguese, and this festival is exactly that – a soulful celebration of Brazil’s rich heritage, artistic expression, and joyful community spirit.”
ALMA BRAZIL! includes both free and ticketed events, with the program highlight being the gala event Viva Brasil! Noite de Cabaret Brasileiro. Held at Woodville Town Hall on Saturday 22 November, this sophisticated black tie event merges the elegance of Parisian cabaret with the electric spirit of Rio Carnival.
Music lovers are encouraged to head along to Noite Brazil! Caipirinha & Coração on Friday 21 November. Experience live bossa nova while knocking back tropical cocktails and chowing down on Brazilian gourmet bar snacks in an intimate Adelaide locale.
Immerse yourself in Brazilian culture at the Festival Opening Exhibition Cores do Brasil, a vibrant art exhibition highlighting Brazilian identity, diversity, and visual storytelling through photography, painting and cultural displays.
Nothing says Brazil like a day on the beach, which is exactly what you can enjoy at Sol Brazil! A Day at the Beach – Like in Brazil at West Beach on Sunday 23 November. This family-friendly day has plenty of beach activities, from football to samba, along with live music from Brazil Nuts Orchestra. End the day enjoying local DJs spinning tropical beats as the sunsets.
ALMA BRAZIL! will also play host to Casa Brazil!, a day of interactive workshops about Brazilian culture around the city on Saturday 22 November.
ALMA BRAZIL! promises to transform Adelaide into a cultural playground – featuring everything from beachside capoeira circles and samba parades to family-friendly workshops and sizzling culinary events.

The French-flavoured festival takes over Festival Plaza for four days at the end of May.
